Soccer Game Preview: Naperville North vs. Washburn Rural

The Naperville North Huskies will face off against the Washburn Rural Blues at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Naperville North is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Naperville North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Dunlap, who was ranked fourth at the time (Naperville North was ranked second). The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Naperville North's winning goal came courtesy of Josh Pedersen.

Meanwhile, Washburn Rural made easy work of Metea Valley on Thursday and carried off a 4-1 victory. Considering Washburn Rural have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Naperville North's win bumped their record up to 12-0-3. As for Washburn Rural, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
