Basketball Recap: Colfax-Mingo Comes Up Short

Colfax-Mingo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 54-28 to the North Mahaska Warhawks. The Tigerhawks lost against the Warhawks in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-9 score last time.

Colfax-Mingo's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for North Mahaska, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax-Mingo will head out to challenge English Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Mahaska, they will head out on the road to square off against Moravia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Mahaska's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Moravia's offense will have their work cut out for them.
