Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Legacy Christian Academy

While Legacy Christian Academy's victory against Emmanuel Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights skirted past the Lions 4-3. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Justin Harphant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, David Cancino was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Legacy Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Tooker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Legacy Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
