Soccer Recap: Lancaster Mennonite Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lancaster Mennonite can now relate to. They fell just short of the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lancaster Mennonite came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Our Lady of Lourdes Regional are ranked 329th).

Lancaster Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 16-6-2. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Lancaster Mennonite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, they will take on Bentworth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bentworth's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Our Lady of Lourdes Regional's offense will have their work cut out for them.
