League recap: Lowville win leads to rise in state rank

Lowville moved up to 265 from 370 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 3 Class C - North. The Red Raiders climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Tully 34-26.

Lowville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,332 from 10,144. The advance stemmed from a 34-26 victory over the Black Knights last week.

Immaculate Heart Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cavaliers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Moran has thrown for 1033 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Nick Koelmel has 40 catches for 629 yards. Spencer Sharlow leads the league in rushing with 378 yards.

Immaculate Heart Central led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on Mexico. Cole Carpenter threw for 54 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 10 yards in the win.
