The Houston Homeschool Athletics Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They took a hard 74-58 fall against Red River. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Red River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corban Tyler led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Crecelius, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Houston Homeschool Athletics dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Red River, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-14.
