Serra Catholic is 9-1 against Brentwood since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will host the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Brentwood will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Serra Catholic extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday. The Eagles put the hurt on Hopewell with a sharp 15-5 victory. 15 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jake Anderson was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Max Black, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Serra Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brentwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Brashear on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Serra Catholic pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Brentwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
