Recap: Lutheran North Mustangs vs. Loyola Bull Dogs
The Lutheran North Mustangs lost against the Loyola Bull Dogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lutheran North took a hard 53-36 fall against Loyola. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lutheran North has scored all season.
Loss or not, Lutheran North got some senior leadership from Joshua Brown who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and seven blocks and Gio Lutfy who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Brown has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played.
Lutheran North's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-5. As for Loyola, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Lutheran North will head out on the road to square off against Gabriel Richard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Loyola, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lumen Christi Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lumen Christi Catholic is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
