Baseball Recap: Salesian Comes Up Short

Salesian lost against St. Bernard last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Vikings, falling 17-7. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salesian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Israel Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Ramirez is becoming a predictor of the Mustangs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-11 when he doesn't).

Salesian's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for St. Bernard, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Salesian will head out on the road to face off against St. Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Bernard, they will be playing at home against New Roads at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
