Softball Game Preview: Wilmington Hurricane vs. Goshen Warriors

The Wilmington Hurricane will head out on the road to square off against the Goshen Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilmington will be strutting in after a win while Goshen will be coming in after a loss.

Wilmington took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over Washington.

Meanwhile, Goshen fell victim to New Richmond and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 6-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Wilmington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Goshen, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Wilmington couldn't quite get it done against Goshen in their previous meeting on April 9th as they fell 12-7. Can the Hurricane avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
