Game recap: Minarets High School Football Team beats Laton

O'NEALS, Calif. - After four lead changes, Minarets (O'Neals, Calif.) took the lead for good when Chance Carter kicked a field goal with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat Laton (Calif.) 31-29 on Saturday.

The Mustangs avenged last year's 20-15 loss to the Mustangs with the victory.

The victory was a step in the right direction for Minarets, which was coming off a 27-26 defeat at the hands of Parlier in its previous game. The victory ended Minarets' two-game losing streak.
