Baseball Recap: Belvidere Takes a Loss

Belvidere's last matchup with Freeport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Bucs lost 8-2 to the Pretzels. The Bucs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Belvidere saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Peterson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Belvidere's record now sits at 8-22. As for Freeport, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.
