Softball Recap: Perry Meridian Falls Short of Decatur Central in the Playoffs

Perry Meridian and Decatur Central squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Perry Meridian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 13-12. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-6 loss back in April.

Alivia Neace made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Naue, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Perry Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Decatur Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Perry Meridian nor Decatur Central have any future games scheduled.
