Softball Recap: Brushton-Moira Comes Up Short

Brushton-Moira was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets, falling 20-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 23, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Aryiah Clark made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Mitchell, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Brushton-Moira's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Madrid-Waddington, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Brushton-Moira will take on Avoca-Prattsburgh at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Madrid-Waddington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
