Prescott had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-16 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Deer Valley Skyhawks. The Badgers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Skyhawks, too.

Gracie Pereira spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prescott's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haley James, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Deer Valley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 21-6-1 record. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Deer Valley's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Adyson Ordway gave up three earned runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

As of now, neither Prescott nor the Skyhawks have any future games scheduled.
