Montgomery is 9-1 against Southwest SD since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Aztecs will be playing at home against the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Montgomery is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 22-5.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Southwest SD's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 22-10 to San Ysidro.

Samantha Ramirez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aketzalli Rodriguez, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.

Southwest SD's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Everything went Montgomery's way against Southwest SD in their previous meeting back in March, as Montgomery made off with an 11-4 victory. Will the Aztecs repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
