Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Hillers vs. South Fayette Lions

For the second straight game, Trinity will face off against South Fayette. The Hillers will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Trinity gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past South Fayette 10-3. That's two games straight that the Hillers have won by exactly seven runs.

J.R. Rieg tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jonah Williamson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Matthew Robaugh was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Trinity pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Fayette, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5.
