Baseball Recap: Dora Takes a Loss

Dora had lost six straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 4-11 to make it seven. They lost 12-5 to the Elida Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 back in March.

Dora saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roddy Neal, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Eric Michael also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

As for Elida, their win bumped their record up to 6-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

On Elida's side, the team relied heavily on Cason Norman, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Tigers beat Dora by a score of 15-5 later that day.
