Basketball Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington lost against Madison back in January of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Worthington Trojans took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 231st in Minnesota, while the Bulldogs are ranked 35th in South Dakota).

Worthington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Worthington will host New Ulm at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-55 win against Deubrook on the 6th.
