Softball Recap: Tracy Victorious

Tracy came out on top against Lodi on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-2 win over the Flames. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Flames: they've now won six in a row.

Hayden Fell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Sansaver, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emry Couch, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Tracy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.

Tracy's record is now 18-1. As for Lodi, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8-1 record this season.

Tracy and Lodi should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Bulldogs will face off against St. Mary's at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (21 vs. 236). Meanwhile, Lodi (ranked 239th) will meet West (ranked 703rd) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
