Softball Recap: Valley Falls Comes Up Short

Valley Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-6 to the Oskaloosa Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Monday.

Gracie Conner made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Valley Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Oskaloosa, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Valley Falls will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oskaloosa, they will venture away from home to take on Atchison County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
