Football Recap: South Nodaway Comes Up Short on the Road Against Pattonsburg + How To Watch

South Nodaway kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 52-46 to the Pattonsburg Panthers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pattonsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gage Fortner, who threw for 355 yards and six touchdowns while completing 74.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Fortner a new career-high in passer rating (122). Another pass catcher making a difference was Camden Griffith, who picked up 86 receiving yards and four scores.

Looking ahead, South Nodaway will welcome Stanberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pattonsburg, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Mound City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
