Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Finds Playoff Glory Versus Spring

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oak Ridge had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spring Lions a 9-0 shutout. Nine seems to be a good number for the War Eagles as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory made it two in a row for Oak Ridge and bumps their season record up to 20-9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Spring, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-13.

Oak Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair will be back at it again later today.
