Softball Recap: Bedford Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nashua North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bedford). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nashua North Titans a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Channing Lankford looked comfortable as she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Dube, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Emma Albis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Bedford hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive games.

Bedford's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Nashua North, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
