Baseball Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

Richmond was the 11-6 winner over Valley Christian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Oilers took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Tuesday. The Oilers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Valley Christian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Richmond will take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Oilers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Valley Christian, they will square off against Making Waves Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marlins have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
