Football Recap: Christian County Comes Up Short

Christian County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mayfield Cardinals and fell 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Cardinals are ranked 22nd).

Christian County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mayfield, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Christian County will challenge McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mayfield, they will head out to face off against Paducah Tilghman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
