Desert Hills faced Lehi in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Thunder never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Lulu West made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. West was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payten Benson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Lily Ringel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Desert Hills' record now sits at 22-2. As for Lehi, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.

Desert Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Spanish Fork on the 15th. As for Lehi, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Skyridge on the 15th.
