Softball Recap: Paetow Comes Up Short

Paetow came up into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paetow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MIA RUIZ, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. TESSA DELAFOSSE also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Paetow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Edcouch-Elsa, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Paetow will take on Alice in a tournament on Friday. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Braunfels at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Braunfels will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
