Football Recap: North Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Creek played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 55-14 loss at the hands of the Moses Lake Mavericks. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Despite the defeat, North Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln McGill rushed for 125 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Brady Jay had a dynamite game For Moses Lake., throwing for 487 yards and seven TDs while completing 76.1% of his passes, and also rushing for 45 yards. Those 487 passing yards gave Jay a new career-high. Grant Smith did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 105 receiving yards.

North Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Moses Lake, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, North Creek will head out to challenge Bethel at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moses Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. This will be the Mavericks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
