Softball Recap: East Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for East Mecklenburg's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Charlotte Catholic Cougars on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Mecklenburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geneva Garvais, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

East Mecklenburg now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Charlotte Catholic, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

East Mecklenburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Providence on the 25th. As for Charlotte Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Fort Mill on the 26th.
