             The Collinsville Kahoks will venture away from home to  take on the Granite City Warriors  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Collinsville came up short against  Mt. Vernon on Friday, falling  45-21.
 Despite the  loss, Collinsville got top-tier performance from   Chase Reynolds, who rushed for 132 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 79 yards and a touchdown. Reynolds' longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Even though they lost, Collinsville was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 279  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 152  rushing yards in three consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Granite City was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They took a  blow against Centralia, falling  49-6.
 Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
 Everything came up roses for Collinsville against Granite City in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  54-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collinsville since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
