Kent Denver skates past Basalt with ease

Recap: Kent Denver Sun Devils vs. Basalt Longhorns

The Kent Denver Sun Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 35 points or more this season. They blew past Basalt 86-48 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-24.

Caleb Fay was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Morgan, who scored 16 points.

Basalt lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Hays, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Luke Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and five assists.

The victory was the third in a row for Kent Denver, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.67 points. As for Basalt, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Kent Denver and Eagle Valley will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Eagle Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Basalt won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rifle at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Logan Gross and Elias Schendler.
