Grosse Pointe North has gone 9-1 against Utica recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Norsemen will be playing at home against the Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Berkley hit Grosse Pointe North with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Norsemen fell 9-4 to the Bears.

Jacob Jarackas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was DJ Edwards, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Utica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Utica Ford.

Jimmy Lasceski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Grosse Pointe North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
