Basketball Recap: Waterloo Drops Season-High Score on Red Bud

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterloo). They breezed by the Red Bud Musketeers to the tune of 80-40 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Alex Stell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Max Oswald, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Waterloo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

Waterloo's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Red Bud, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will face off against Civic Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Civic Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Waterloo likes a good challenge. As for Red Bud, they will square off against Chester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
