Baseball Recap: Madeira Has No Trouble Against Seven Hills

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madeira). They came out on top against the Seven Hills Stingers by a score of 11-7 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Eli Beck, who scored three runs while going 2-for-5. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sammy McClain, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Madeira was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Madeira and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Seven Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madeira will challenge Mariemont at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seven Hills, they will face off against Summit Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
