Softball Game Preview: Penn Cambria Panthers vs. Bishop McCort Crushers

The Penn Cambria Panthers will take on the Bishop McCort Crushers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Things were looking good for Penn Cambria after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Richland by a score of 4-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Penn Cambria saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyse Rabatin, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bishop McCort lost 16-4 to Bedford on Tuesday.

Penn Cambria now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bishop McCort, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Penn Cambria took their win against Bishop McCort in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Crushers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
