Volleyball Recap: Hinsdale Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hinsdale Central can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lockport Porters. The Red Devils were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Porters, so the Red Devils were just returning the favor.

Hinsdale Central didn't let Lockport take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

Luke Scott paced Hinsdale Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Scott got some help from Harry Hughes and his 17 assists. Ken Reodica controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hinsdale Central picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 8-22. As for Lockport, they dropped their record down to 14-17 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hinsdale Central will venture away from home to square off against Chicago Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lockport, they will head out to take on Homewood-Flossmoor at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
