Basketball Recap: Mason Altier Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cumberland Valley Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Faith Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers by a score of 55-42. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Altier, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Altier a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Carter Young, who posted 18 points.

Faith Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons take on the Eagles on Friday. Heritage Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Faith Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they will challenge Frederick W at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
