Basketball Preview: Berryhill Chiefs vs. Bristow Pirates
The Berryhill Chiefs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bristow Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Berryhill beat the Trojans 42-38. 42 seems to be a good number for Berryhill as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Bristow put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Kiefer 59-25 at home. The win was just what Bristow needed coming off of a 65-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Bristow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shalyn Edmondson out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Edmondson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Addi Alexander, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Berryhill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Bristow, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
Berryhill might still be hurting after the 63-39 loss they got from the Pirates when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Berryhill have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
