Softball Recap: Streetsboro Comes Up Short

If Streetsboro was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Western Reserve Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets lost 11-5 to the Coventry Comets on Friday. The Rockets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comets earlier this season, when they won 13-5.

Hailey Miller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Olivia DeToro was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Streetsboro's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Coventry, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Streetsboro has already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Cloverleaf on the 12th. As for Coventry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-5 defeat against Field on the 10th.
