Basketball Recap: Southern Coast Academy Regional Comes Up Short

The Southern Coast Academy Regional Rams lost 73-47 to the Horizon Hawks on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Horizon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradley Webb, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shane Jackman, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Southern Coast Academy Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Horizon, they moved to 1-19 with that victory, which also ended their 22-game losing streak.

Southern Coast Academy Regional will head out to square off against IMG Academy State at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. IMG Academy State knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Southern Coast Academy Regional likes a good challenge. As for Horizon, they will look to defend their home court on January 28th against Winter Park at 7:30 p.m.
