Softball Game Preview: Spring Grove Rockets vs. Gettysburg Warriors

The Spring Grove Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Gettysburg Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Grove has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Spring Grove might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-1 to Susquehannock, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gettysburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Palmyra by a score of 6-3 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Spring Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Spring Grove's way against Gettysburg in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, as Spring Grove made off with a 9-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
