Recap: Carnegie Wildcats vs. Navajo Indians

The Carnegie Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 50-39 victory over Navajo. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Carnegie also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.

Carnegie had a senior duo take command as Charles Boettger scored 14 points along with three steals and Eddie Mandrell scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boettger has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Paden Jackson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Carnegie pushed their record up to 16-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Navajo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Carnegie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-43 defeat vs. Southwest Covenant on the 10th. Navajo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
