Baseball Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Loris Lions

For the second straight game, Georgetown will face off against Loris. The Bulldogs will welcome the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The last five games Georgetown has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Georgetown had just enough and edged out Loris 4-3.

For Loris' part, Aiden Suggs was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Suggs has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Suggs wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Avery Todd, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

With the defeat, Loris broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5. As for Georgetown, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
