Soccer Recap: Friendship Christian Victorious

Friendship Christian kept a clean sheet against Community on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Community Vikings/Viqueens. Dylan Cathey had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Commanders.

The victory made it two in a row for Friendship Christian and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Community, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship Christian will head out to take on Smith County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Friendship Christian's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Columbia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbia Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 17 goals over their last three games.
