Ionia won the last time they faced Ithaca and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs' defense stepped up to hand the Yellowjackets a 3-0 shutout. Ionia might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Natalia Magallon and Kylie Leonard scored all three of Ionia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Ionia and bumps their season record up to 8-3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Ithaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Looking ahead, Ionia will host Lansing Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ithaca, they will venture away from home to take on Valley Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
