Baseball Recap: River Road Takes a Loss

River Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Bushland Falcons, falling 14-5. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Aaron Lovett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Zantiago Marrufo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

River Road's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Bushland, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. River Road is set to face off against their familiar foe Tulia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bushland will challenge rival Childress at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
