Volleyball Recap: Groesbeck Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Groesbeck was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mexia on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Goats lost 3-0 to the Fairfield Eagles on Tuesday. The Goats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Hannah Slater paced Groesbeck's offense, picking up 11 kills. Slater got some help from Landrie Pringle and her 16 assists. Mallory Meyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Groesbeck's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Fairfield, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Groesbeck didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Teague on the 26th. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Elkhart on the 26th.
