Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Comes Up Short

After flying high against Magnolia Science Academy 5 on Monday, Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys came back down to earth. The Mustang fell 3-1 to the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars on Thursday. The Mustang have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1.
