The pair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Blue Ridge Early College's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-36 defeat at the hands of Robbinsville. Blue Ridge Early College has struggled against Robbinsville recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eric Puskarich, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Henson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Highlands pushed their score all the way to 60 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 80-60 loss at the hands of Murphy. Highlands has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Blue Ridge Early College dropped their record down to 4-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Highlands, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Blue Ridge Early College, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Highlands in their previous matchup last Tuesday.
